Available with all EDI fine bubble diffusers
When you know the right answer, you don’t need multiple choice. That’s the philosophy behind EDI Aeration fixed grid configurations: engineer the best answer once, make it easy to implement, and count on your aeration for life™.
Floating retrieval lines enable the self-contained assemblies to be craned out for inspection and maintenance. Dedicated supply lines and ballasts are built right into the assemblies, as is the pipe on which diffusers are directly mounted.
StreamLine™ is EDI’s ‘Patented’ configuration with unmatched system simplicity; results: up to 33% reduction in system installation time compared to competing panel systems. Plus, membrane replacement can be completed in the field.
Superior energy savings
Improved system reliability
Ease of installation & maintenance
Long service life
We know you can’t just take a municipal solution and use it in all industrial applications. Industrial wastewater treatment must be specific to the wastewater effluent quality for each application. For this reason we conduct and participate in industrial testing programs and studies. This leads to the innovations in configurations and material type. Use our 45+ years of experience to your advantage and save time and money.
FIXED GRID CONFIGURATION
Advantages:
EDI’s aeration engineers optimize designs for max long-term value and reliability
- Offers full range of membranes, diffusers, and materials for drop pipes, headers and laterals.
- SuperStrut™ (EDI exclusive plastic pipe-support) adjusts quickly, replacing time- consuming (and often unsafe) metal wiggle-wire install used by rest of the
industry.
- No-slip joints are used to minimize wear and need for frequent replacement
Compatibility:
Fixed Grid configurations are compatible with:
- All EDI membranes
- FlexAir™ fine-bubble disc, tube, panel or Streamline™ diffusers
- CoarsAir™ coarse-bubble diffusers
… And are useful for
Municipal applications
Industrial applications
- Factory manufactured components with flanged mechanical connections for ease of installation
- No size constraint on drops and headers, nominal 3” (90 mm) and 4” (110 mm) for distribution laterals
- Accommodates variable water level applications
- Fixed pipe joints for increased service life and simple maintenance
- Stainless steel supports standard for header sections, and glass-filled polypropylene
- SuperStrut™ supports standard for distribution laterals
- Compatible with all pipe materials and wall thicknesses for heat resistance, chemical resistance, or when maximum durability is desired.
- Factory manufactured components with fixed mechanical connections for ease of installation
- No size constraint on drops and headers, 3”– 8” and 90mm –160mm for distribution laterals
- Uses no slip joints that are subject to wear and replacement, increasing service life
- Permanently anchored to reactor floor; stainless steel supports standard
- Stainless steel drop pipe and rigid PVC header and lateral standard; alternate materials (ABS, CPVC, and Stainless Steel) and wall t- hicknesses available for heat, chemical resistance, or when maximum durability is desired
- Fits 4”, 6”, 8”, 110 mm and 160 mm air piping—plastic or stainless steel

Typical stainless steel construction
StreamLine’s proven design elevates the industry’s standard practice by minimizing in-basin aeration piping and attached diffuser components. The self-contained FlexAir® membrane panels and the inline support system reduce stress points and potential material fatigue. In short, StreamLine delivers a new level of performance, simplicity and service life.
StreamLine can be configured for any industrial or municipal application, tank size or geometry
Efficient: StreamLine’s geometry supports low flux rate resulting in ultra-high OTE performance. Precision die-cut NanoPore and MicroPore perforation for meeting air handling, OTE and pressure objectives.
Engineered materials for maximum chemical, temperature and UV resistance and advanced PTFE impregnated membranes for reduced fouling and optimum performance.
StreamLine provides full solids suspension both above and below the diffuser grid. Elevation of the diffuser is adjustable to match blower performance.
Lowest panel system back pressure available in the market
Offers a panel membrane with PTFE fully embedded throughout the material (MatrixPlus™)
Panel can be used in aeration basins without grit removal upstream
Panel has less than 3′ of edge seal to minimize diffuser breach
Panel offers triple back flow prevention
Membrane be replaced in the field, and carry a manufacturer’s warranty
Offers a complete non-metallic option available for corrosive environments
System can function at optimum without frequent venting or air-bumping
Available panel option that can be safely acid-cleaned
